Registration for the winter 2023 edition of Texworld Evolution New York City, comprising Texworld New York City, Apparel Sourcing New York City, and the newly announced Printsource New York, and Global Footwear Sourcing, is now open. The co-located, influential event will be held from January 31 – February 2, in the Jacob Javits Convention Centre.

US’ entertainment technology company Color Star Technology Co Ltd has announced that Asian fashion brand Unbounded Human will officially begin selling its clothing on its ColorWorld Metaverse platform.

Color World is a metaverse platform featuring artificial intelligence and celebrity entertainment that has more than one million users worldwide, according to a press release by Color Star.

US' Walmart offers personalised virtual try-on feature for shoppers

American multinational retail corporation Walmart has upgraded its virtual try-on feature for online shoppers by launching the Be Your Own Model feature, which will allow customers to use their own photo to better visualise how clothing will look on them. In the second quarter (Q2) this year, Gucci narrowly reclaimed the top spot in the hottest brands list of the Lyst Index after nine months of Balenciaga topping the chart. Together, the two Kering-owned fashion houses are now powering a huge 21 per cent of the overall Lyst Index heat score generated by the top 20 brands. The Lyst Index was launched in 2017.

Burberry is continuing to support creative communities and promote a circular economy by donating once more to the ReBurberry Fabric programme in partnership with the British Fashion Council (BFC). Launched in 2020 with BFC, the programme provides donations of leftover fabrics to fashion students, upcycling surplus fabric and saving it from going to waste.
