Gucci has retained its position as the hottest brand on the planet for the third time in a row, in the first quarter of 2021, according to The Lyst Index, a quarterly ranking of fashion’s hottest brands and products. Nike successfully jumped 9 places to become the second hottest brand, while Dior joined the list for the first time and took the third position.
Balenciaga and Moncler slid down to the fourth and fifth positions from second and third positions in the previous quarter, respectively. Prada is next on the list, followed by Louis Vuitton which made its debut on The Lyst Index in this quarter. The brands taking the eight, ninth and tenth positions are Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent and Off-White, respectively.Louis Vuitton also enters for the first time this quarter, despite limited distribution through Lyst.
As for the products, The Lyst Index has listed the North Face x Gucci GG Canvas bomber jacket, Hermès pre-owned Kelly bag and Bottega Veneta Lug boot on the top three positions on the hottest women’s products list for Q1 2021. The three hottest men’s products for the quarter are Adidas Yeezy 450 sneakers, Moncler Gui vest and Prada logo bucket hat.
