The British Fashion Council has revealed the winners of The Fashion Awards 2024 presented by Pandora (TFA). TFA, organised by the BFC, is a key fundraiser for the BFC Foundation and celebrates the role of fashion at the intersection of culture and entertainment, spotlighting creative talent and telling the stories of the year in fashion.
The Model of the Year Award recognises a model whose influence has transcended the catwalk over the past year. This year’s winner is Alex Consani, celebrated for their global impact in the fashion industry.
The British Menswear Designer Award recognises a British designer who has made a significant global impact with innovative designs. This year’s winner is Grace Wales Bonner, honoured for her work with Wales Bonner, shaping the international menswear landscape.
The Special Recognition Award honours an outstanding contribution to the fashion industry. This year’s winner is Dame Margaret Barbour, recognised for her exceptional impact and legacy in the fashion world. As well as recognising designers and industry leaders, TFA celebrated this year’s New Wave: Creatives cohort through a special film created by Matte Projects. The accolade represents 50 of the most innovative and inspiring young creative talents from around the world spanning continents and creative disciplines. The award pays homage to the incredible success of both home-grown and international talent; while celebrating all those who play a vital role in the industry’s cultural and creative reputation.
